High Increase in Violation of Traffic Rules in India This Year

A detailed study report on the increase in Violation of various Traffic Rules in India for this year.
Violation of Traffic rules, it’s a term with which we all are familiar with. Articles or news on this topic can be found frequently on new journals, etc. Various measures has been taken by the government of India to educate people about traffic rules and ensure that traffic rules are followed in the correct manner , But efforts of government went futile.

Indian roads are becoming dangerous due to increasing traffic rules violation as because of it, Accidents on Indian roads are increasing day by day.  This year, on an average, around 850 drunken driving culprits were caught by the police every month. This number is high as compared to former year.  8407 drunken driving challans were issued by police till 15th October of this year as compared to 8898 challans in whole previous year.

Not only drunk driving crimes has increased but also other traffic crimes like Not Using Seat Belt, Not Wearing helmet has also increased. In 2012, 14448 challans were issued against people who were found driving without license but this value has already reached 16,666 this year.

And the worst part is, that young children below the age of 18 are mostly caught as they do not have license but they still drive motor vehicles and break the laws. Parents should take care of these things.

Similarly as above, in 2012 6588 challans were issued against those people who were associated with no entry violations but this year, the numbers has increased to 8000. For jumping red/yellow lights, 20,800 challans were issued by the police in 2012 but this year the numbers has gone up to 28,800. It is indeed a drastic increase of 8000 challans.

People charged for the violation of traffic rules comprises of youth and adults on a large scale. Time between youth to adult is a very perplexing time span. At this time, due to hormonal changes, human beings do not have power to judge between right and wrong.

You can find young people bragging about their car speed etc. They don’t understand that fast speed that takes away their life. This ignoring behavior is most important cause of the increasing number of traffic violations in India.

One should understand that, Traffic rules are meant for our own safety .I recently saw a line outside the traffic police counter “Hair Style can be maintained but life once gone never comes back”. It was written to encourage people to make use of helmets at the time of driving 2 wheelers. We must follow these rules with loyalty not for the government but for our precious lives.   If you don’t follow safety rules, then never complain if you ever lost your close friend or yourself in a road accident.
