Korean singing superstar Psy,
who has already popular for his unique ‘Oppa
Gangnam Style’, has recently uploaded his new video on YouTube. The video is named as ‘Gentleman’, and it had already generated more than 44 million views on the largest online
video streaming website YouTube by this Monday only.
Eventually the new video has already rewritten YouTube’s record for a single
day views. It has to be mentioned here that the ‘Gentleman’ video was posted on YouTube at 1200 GMT (9.00 P.M. IST) on Saturday only, and it was the follow up
music video to highly popular “Gangnam
Style” of the South Korean singing
superstar.
The new ‘Gentleman’ music video has been able to gather around 20
million hits in the first 24 hours
only. It literally abolished the previous
YouTube record for the single day hits of 8 million, which was set by the Canadian pop star Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend"
music video launched in May 2012.
The new video has been able to gather around 44.5 million hits in just
36 hours from its release, which is simply fantabulous. It looks like that this
brand new video of Psy will rewrite many more YouTube records in its golden run
for sure, as it is already accelerating the total view count in a lightning speed.
In the video Psy is dancing around here and there in Seoul, wearing his classy and unique
sunglasses, in the places like swimming pool, restaurant, library and a
high-end clothing store. He is simply doing what he does best, and that is
creating an entertainment package
for his fans.
Basically in the video the Korean singing star is mocking and playing
some practical jokes on women. The jokes are like untying a woman's bikini top
at a swimming pool, or pulling their chairs away as they are about to sit etc.
these are the most funny elements of the newly
released video, and it has been succeeded to create a serious buzz.
Last year the signature
horse-riding dance move of Psy in his ‘Gangnam Style’ video provided the
singing star all the global stardoms.
It basically went viral soon after it was uploaded to YouTube due to
unconventional singing and dancing skills of Psy.
The Gangnam video was simply
a satire on the super luxury lifestyle of Seoul's upscale Gangnam district. It
was released on July 2012, and it
has already become the most-watched
YouTube video ever with more than 1.5
billion views since its release. This super success story of ‘Gangnam
Style’ video pushed Psy to make follow up video to it, and now he has come up
with his new “Gentleman’ music video.
On this Monday the “Gentleman” video earned a position in the top 10 songs on iTunes stores in various countries such as New Zealand, Canada,
Denmark, France and Sweden. It eventually topped
the music chart in Finland, which is simply awesome considering it has just
been launched a few days back.
