India Post issued two Stamps to Mark 20 Years of Diplomatic Relations between India and Israel

India Post issued a set of two stamps to mark the domestic relationships between India and Israel, which has been on for twenty years now.
India’s parent post body, the India Post issued a set of two stamps to mark the domestic relationships between India and Israel, which has been on for twenty years now. The domestic relations between Israel and India were established in the year of 1992, and till now it is going strong. Both the issued stamps are of Rs 5 denomination each.

It is a good way to mark a historic occasion by felicitating the event itself. So India Post has done a good job in deed. The parent postal body issued the two stamps on the festival of light Deepavali and Hanukkah on 5th November, 2012. From 1992 the relationships between India and Israel has developed quite a lot for sure. These twenty years has seen much mutual cooperation between the said two countries, which has been proved as beneficiary for both the countries.

At the time of the historic meaningful Maccabeen Revolt, which occurred at the 2nd century BC, a new dedication towards the Holy Temple was established in Jerusalem. In order to honor that ceremony, a holiday festival has been celebrated by the Jewish. It has to be mentioned here that Hanukkah is observed for eight night and days. It starts on the 25th day of Kislev according to the Hebrew calendar. It is celebrated by lighting candles in windows or doorways on each and every nights of Hanukkah. That’s not all; the candles are eventually lit in a unique candelabrum, the nine-branched Menorah or Hanukkah.

The Hanukkah is just like Deepavali, which has been celebrated by Indians all over the World as the festival of lights. In the occasion of Deepavali, Indians lit lots of ‘diyas’ to redecorate their houses and localities for that ‘once in a year’ occasion. Like the eternal ‘diyas’ of Deepavali, the candles of Hanukkah also symbolize the triumph of good over evil bodies and the needed victory of justice over injustice. There is a strong believe that the good powers will come and it will take all the baddies with them to rescue the common people from the growing injustice and rise of evil powers.

The India Post had stated that the issued stamps are valid for the use of postal need till the stocks last. It has to be mentioned here that India Post commemorates various National and International glorious events by releasing Commemorative and Special Postage Stamps in a regular basis, which is pretty good thing in deed.
