Dr.
Charanjit Singh Atwal, who is the honorable speaker of Punjab Legislative
Assembly, has received Asian Guild’s ‘Special International Award’. Dr.
Charanjit is one of the pioneers of primary education in India, and the award
has been presented to him for his contribution to primary education in his
state.
The
Chairman of Asian Guild Lord Tarsem King gave away the award to Atwal. Atwal
was the former Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha. The award ceremony was held at
the House of Lords, and it was named as Asian Guild Annual Awards Dinner 2012.
Atwal
started a project few years back, which was named as ‘Adopt a Primary School
Teacher’. That project has become a very successful one in the states of
Punjab. It helps Punjab to attract more kids towards the primary school, which
eventually helps the state to its eternal development. That’s not all, after
seeing the success; the project is now being adopted by many other states of
India.
It
has to be mentioned here that the CEO and President of famous Turkish Airlines

indeed, the said Airlines’ was also chosen for the Asian Guild’s ‘In-flight
