India and Bulgaria has decided to join hands in order to explore the
growing opportunities of mutual cooperation in the sector of Tourism, which is
considered to be one of the most important sectors of the country. The
possibility of this highly rated mutual cooperation possibility was decided few
days back at a official meeting, which was held between the Tourism Minister of
Bulgaria Mr. Delian Dobrev and Union Tourism Minister of India Mr. Subodh Kant
Sahai.
A few ideas were discussed at the said meeting and after the meeting
both the countries decided to start this mutual exploration. They will first
identify the areas where they can be able to work together. New possibilities
will be explored in highly fragile Tourism Sector, especially in the field of Hospitality
Training, Marketing, Promotion, Development and Management of various Tourist
Destinations. That’s not all both the parties also gave an overall idea of the
“Tourism Sector” in their respective countries. They also did not forget to
re-emphasis on the potential criteria of this mutual cooperation for economic
growth and employment generation.
Both the countries has agreed on the fact that if they could be able to
increase the tourist traffic between the two countries, it would lead to
tighten the bilateral relations at people to people level, which will be a
great beneficiary outcome for both the countries for sure. Both sides also
discussed on the rising possibilities of promoting investment in the field of
hotel industry tourism and infrastructural development. They will explore many
things together in order to develop their respected countries.
Tourism Sector is a key factor to boost up the economic growth of a
country. It will also help to show case an image of the country to the rest of
the world. So in order to develop a country one should develop its Tourism
sector on first basis. India and Bulgaria both have understood this fact and
they have started taking initiative to that. Now time will tell us whether
these plans will be able to emerge as the reality or not.
It has to be mentioned here that
India allows 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Hotel Sector on automated
basis, which is quite good in deed. So many countries are already showing their
keen interest in order to invest in this sector, which is highly fragile as per
the various top level economists.
