In 2016 Asia-Pacific BPO Industry is likely to reach $ 9.5 billion

Business Process Outsourcing, or better known as BPO Industry, is one of the most emerging and influential industries of Asia-Pacific region in recent times. This industry has seen a tremendous growth in last decade only, but according to a research firm named Gartner; it will make history within the year of 2016. As per Gartner Business Process Outsourcing market in the region of Asia-Pacific (excluding Japan), will reach a new height of $ 9.5 billion, which will be up from $ 5.9 billion as of last year.

According to the very same research firm Gartner, the BPO market in the Asia-Pacific region is likely to touch $ 6.45 billion mark in this year of 2012. According to the Director of Gartner Research Mr. T J Singh, the BPO market of Asia-Pacific region is still relatively underexploited and underdeveloped (though there is exception too in countries like Australia and New Zealand), when compared with other market or regions across the globe.

He added that various BPO service providers are seeing a lot of opportunities in these regions so they are very much willing to invest their money to these regions. Loads of work need to be done in the BPO market of Asia-Pacific region and the BPO service providers are interested in doing that. So the industry will benefit a lot because of this type of growing opportunities and interests of various high profile service providers.

In 2011 Australia topped the list of the largest BPO market of the Asia-Pacific region with a total market size of more than $ 4.63 billion, which is over 3.5 times larger from the second largest consumer of BPO services i.e. India. The total BPO market size of India is $ 1.26 billion.

According to Gartner, India and China will eventually continue to hold the position of the fastest growing BPO markets within the range of Asia-Pacific in the coming years too. The reason of this is may be the high population of these two countries. The wages are really very low in India and China, so most the service providers are likely to invest their money to form industries in these two countries only. This will also boost the overall economy India and China. This will also create a lot of vacancies for the youths of these countries. The jobs in the BPO industry are very much exciting and profitable too. So it will attract the youth quite easily.
