Rs 12K Crore package to IAF for 56 aircrafts by Indian Defence Ministry
Indian Air
Force is becoming stronger and stronger day by day, and Indian Defence Ministry
remains helpful to them. Recently the Defence Ministry approved a proposal,
which is worth over Rs 12,000 crore, to procure 56 transport aircraft for the
Air Force purpose. These new aircrafts will replace its fleet of vintage Avro
planes. The Defence Ministry has understood the scenario, and then decided that
it’s time to move on, time to stay updated, which is very good news.

ADB extended $150 million loan for Indian Railway System
The Government of India and the well known Asian Development Bank (ADB)
have signed a pact of US $150 million loan to develop the Indian Railway
System. It is mainly the 1st tranche of Railway Sector Investment
Program, which is especially aimed at improving rail freight services and
passenger transport routes.

McLaren’s Jenson Button won the Belgian Grand Prix
This Sunday McLaren’s Jenson Button claimed the Belgian Grand Prix title
from pole position. This was a big victory to him and to the team McLaren too.
He eventually had a untroubled evening and at the end he managed to win the
race quite comfortably.
Button ended the
race with 13.6 seconds clear of Red Bull’s double world champion Sebastian
Vettel, who won this same grand prix from pole position in the last year.
Finland’s Kimi Raikkonen came third in the race for Lotus, and Force India’s
Nico Hulkenberg came fourth, which was the best result of his team for the
ongoing season. Hulkenberg was ahead of Ferrari’s Felipe Massa and Mark Webber.
