A recent survey revealed that T.V
is the most trending topic of the
popular micro blogging social networking platform twitter. As per reports almost 40
percent of tweets on Twitter are mainly about what is being telecasted on the
T.V.
The survey
report mainly revealed the statistic data of Twitter after considering the viewing habits of the British along with the United Kingdom users. It’s quite
obvious, as now days there are innumerous number of TV channels on celebrities,
news, sports etc, and people love to stick into it for hours.
The survey
also showed that the modern users are not likely to have the traditional TV
sets. They mainly prefer to watch their favorite TV programs on tablets
or smartphones, as they feel much
more comfortable in the smaller devices while watching the television. People
love to use technologies these days.
TV
Licensing’s TeleScope has recently
done a study on it. The report of that clearly showed that around 63 percent of
tablet owners and 27 percent of smartphone users prefer to watch live
television events via their devices.
The final
report has been prepared after studying 1,000 odd people, who actively use
twitter on a daily basis. The study also includes the very first of its kind "Tele
Happiness Index" survey, which mainly seeks to examine the emotional
connection of a user with the television.
Last week
a similar type of survey on twitter activities revealed that the women are the
more regular tweeter than the men, while men only complains on various issues
over the social networking platforms like twitter.
That study
was prepared by Brandwatch, and the report of it showed that on Twitter maximum
women tweet about television programmes,
personal matters or work related things. On the other hand men prefer to tweet
about various social issues, gaming, news or sports related
topics.
The report
also stated that women on an average tweet 15 times a day, but the men only
tweet 9 times a day on average. It is easily understandable that women are
dominating the micro blogging site, and that is the reason why TV is the most trending topic of Twitter.
Women like to gossip about various TV shows and events, and they choose social
platforms like Twitter to carry on their discussion.
