India Signed a MoU with UK to boost Urban Development

India recently has signed a MoU with the United Kingdom to boost Urban Development across the country. The MoU will also focus on the Urban Regeneration, which is very much required considering the present scenario. The MoU was inked in London by Kamal Nath, who is the Union Minister of Urban Development and Dr. Vince Cable, who is the British Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills.

This MoU will benefit both the countries i.e.  India and Britain. It would eventually provide a fully functional platform for the professionals, officials and business leaders too. They can be able to meet more frequently to share knowledge and best practices related to the urban sector. This joined declaration would help to enlarge and enhance cooperation, which will eventually deepen the mutual engagement between the said two countries.

The MoU conceives an image of future possibilities to the promotion of cooperation in the various areas of transport planning, land economies, regeneration governance, public private partnership financing arrangements, sustainable master planning, heritage management and last but not the least regeneration capacity building.

Kamal Nath has also participated in a roundtable business conference, which was organized by none other than UK India Business Council.
