India and Israel have signed a MoU to encourage tourism sector

India and Israel is all set to encourage their bilateral ties in the tourism sector, and as a result of that recently they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). As an effect of that Israel will open a tourism office in Mumbai and they will also increase the number of E1 A1 flights to India, which is certainly a very good move, as it will tie up the mutual relationship of the above mentioned countries even stronger.

The pact was signed between the Indian tourism minister Subodh Kant Sahai and his Israeli counterpart Stas Misezhnikov. The said agreement is quite likely to boost tourism to and from Israel, India in the next three years or so.

It has to be mentioned here that more than 40K Indian visitors come to Israel per year, and equal number of Israeli citizens’ travel to India. It is quite clear that the demand and interest are quite high, so the agreement should be implanted as soon as possible. Both the ministers mentioned that they could see a golden opportunity to expand the tourism market between the two countries.

As a part of implementation, and to double the number quickly, Israel will open a brand new tourism office in Mumbai and they will also construct 200,000 new hotel rooms as well as increase the number of above mentioned E1 A1 flights, the Israeli air carrier, from three times a week to one per day from now on.
