Indian telecom giant Bharti Airtel and renowned private sector bank
ICICI Bank have been included in the prestigious ‘BrandZ list’ of the top 100
most-valuable global brands across the world of the year 2012 by the well-known
research firm Millward Brown. Eventually ICICI Bank was ranked 63, while Airtel
clinched the 71th spot. This has to be mentioned here that the top five brands
on the list are Apple, IBM, Google, McDonald’s and Microsoft.
According
to the research study, ICICI Bank’s brand value has declined by 15% since the
year of 2011. Though ICICI Bank declined, Bharti Airtel entered in the BrandZ
Top 100 list for the very first time, which is quite a great achievement for
sure.
The study
mainly took into account what the common people thought about the brands they bought
and used alongside with the analysis of financial data, market valuations,
analyst reports and risk profiles and covered almost two million consumers and
more than 50,000 brands in over 30 countries, which proved ho w reliable the
study is.
