India and Japan Recently Signed the MOU in Tourism

India has signed a MoU with Japan to enhance mutual cooperation in tourism sector
India and Japan have mutually signed the MOU to strengthen cooperation in tourism on 22nd January, 2014. The MOU will not only facilitate travel but also tourist visits. This will strengthen the tourism partnership between the two countries.

The main objectives of the MOU are as follows-

1. To expand bilateral cooperation in the   tourism sector

2.  To exchange information and data related to tourism to improve it.

3. To encourage cooperation between Tour Operators and tourism stakeholders including Hotel owners etc of both countries.

4. To start new exchange program for cooperation in Human Resource Development

5. To exchange experience in the areas like- promotion, marketing, destination development and management

In last year around 2.20 lakh tourists came here from Japan and the amazing fact is that highest numbers of visas on arrival were issued to the tourists from Japan. Buddhist heritage sites are a great attraction for Japanese tourists.
