Kerala’s Kudumbashree signed pact with Techno Giant Intel

Kerala's Kudumbashree has singed a pact with Intel to make the women of Kerala digitally empowered.
Few days’ back the state of Kerala started a new initiative, which is named as Kudumbashree (means prosperity of the family). The main mission of this initiative is to eradicate poverty as much as possible from the whole state. In order to do so the women of the Kerala need to be digitally empowered as soon as possible. After understanding the value of this need, Kudumbashree has made a few plans to achieve the target. As a part of that plan it signed a crucial pact with the computing technology giant Intel.

This will be a collaborative initiative, and it will be named as 'Intel Easy Steps Programmes'. The main focus of this initiative will be the massive improvement of the social and economic self-sufficiency of women. As per the plan it will be achieved by providing support through e-literacy and digital empowerment.

Intel's South Asia Managing Director (Sales and Marketing) Debjani Ghosh and Kudumbashree's Executive Director K B Valsala Kumari signed the said agreement on behalf of their respective bodies. It’s quite obvious that it will help the state to carry on their journey towards glory.

Mr. M K Muneer, who is the Panchayat and Social Justice Minister, said that this mutual initiative is an important major step in the e-literacy initiatives of the state. He added that this will help the women of the state very much by making them more self-confident and financially independent.

While inaugurating the programme he quoted, "The project is expected to provide an opportunity for Kudumbashree members to achieve a more dignified life and livelihood. Through the 'Intel Easy Steps Programmes' they can gain digital empowerment through a structured manner and it will create them sustainable livelihood,"

The main aim of the project is to make Kerala a complete women- digitally empowered state, and as per the Minister, this programme will help to achieve this target within three years from its inception. These types of programme have to be done quite regularly in order to take the journey of development.

Every state should follow the footstep of Kerala, and take imitative like this one, which is truly commendable in deed. It has to be mentioned here that the Social Welfare Principal Secretary Aruna Sundararajan was also graced the occasion by her gracious presence in the function.

We need to thanks global giant Intel, as they are providing their support in the programme, which is highly needed. Other global giant should take some inspiration from Intel, and who knows they might come forward in order to provide their support too in such noble programmes.
